CHANDIGARH, Aug 14: Davis Cupper Ramesh Krishnanan will hold a one-week special coaching camp for youngsters at Sector 10 Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association Stadium here from September 5 to 11. In a press release issued today after the general body meeting, CLTA chairman said that “this is the first time that Ramesh, who is running his own academy in Chennai, would be holding a coaching camp at another venue.”
The association has also selected four players — Amanjot Singh, Sunil Kumar, Akshay Vishal Rao and Harsimran Kaur — for special awards for their outstanding performance at national and international level. The press release said “the CLTA would continue to emphasis on physical fitness through a strick regimen. Tough excercises combined with yoga are compulsory for all CLTA trainees.
According to association secretary Gurpal Singh, the general body approved the hosting of the International Masters Satellite in January next year.
The CLTA has offered technical and coaching support to schools and institutions even though they are not directly affiliated to the association.
