Raj loyalists continue attack, others join Sena

Around 200 members of Raj Thackeray8217;s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena MNS on Wednesday joined Shiv Sena in presence of Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray.

The MNS members, who are fed up with the anti-north Indian stance adopted by Raj, joined the Sena at a function held at Bal Thackeray8217;s residence Matoshree in suburban Bandra, Sena secretary Vinayak Raut said.

Asked about the Sena8217;s stand on the current political scenario in the backdrop of violence over Raj Thackeray8217;s remarks against north Indians, Raut said, 8220;This is a fight between Samajwadi Party and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, not between Maharashtrians and north Indians.8221;

These MNS workers got fed up with the ongoing battle and left the party, he said.

Textile shops attacked by suspected MNS activists8217;

A textile shop located at Matunga in Central Mumbai was attacked by suspected MNS activists on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Around seven to eight persons forcibly entered Sharma Textiles in Matunga at around 1:10 pm and threw out some clothes before fleeing, police said.

However, the activists did not attack any persons working in the shop including the shop owner, police added.
