Rahul in UP coordination committee

In a clear signal that Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi, who was recently appointed AICC General Secretary in charge of Youth Congress and NSUI, will continue to play an active role in the affairs of the party in Uttar Pradesh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday included him as a member in the 22-member Coordination Committee for UP headed by state PCC chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

AICC General Secretary in charge of UP Digvijay Singh has also been included in the committee as a Special Invitee. Other panel members included Mohsina Kidwai, Janardan Dwivedi, Mahabir Prasad, Salman Khursheed, Akhilesh Das, Rajiv Shukla, Jitin Prasad, Pramod Tiwari, and Bhola Pandey, among others. The committee will make party8217;s strategy and guide the state unit, said sources.
