Dhabekar quits Rane Ministry
NAGPUR: Maharashtra Minister of State for Transport Babasaheb Dhabekar has resigned from the Narayan Rane Ministry. Dhabekar told UNI on the telephone from Akola that he had facsimiled his resignation to Rane yesterday. He is among the Independent Members of the Legislative Assembly supporting the Shiv Sena-BJP Government.
Pope8217;s visit in Nov
NEW DELHI: Hoping to restore its tarnished image following last year8217;s attacks on minorities, the Government has cleared the visit of Pope John Paul II to India in November this year. Earlier this week, the Government gave the nod for the Papal visit, likely to take place in the first week of November.
