Gujarat ministry expanded
GANDHINAGAR: The Keshubhai Patel-led BJP ministry in Gujarat was expanded today with induction of eleven more ministers nine Ministers of State and two Deputy Ministers, raising its strength to 39.Two Ministers of State, Anandi Ben Patel and Kaushik Patel were elevated to the rank of Cabinet ministers while Harjivan Bhai Patel, a Deputy Minister was promoted to the rank of Minister of State.With today8217;s expansion, the strength of 14-month-old Patel Ministry has increased to 39 including, besides the Chief Minister, 12 Cabinet Ministers, 20 Ministers of State and six Deputy Ministers.
FIR against minister
JAIPUR: An FIR has been lodged against Pursottam Solanki, Deputy Minister in the Keshubhai Patel Ministry in Gujarat, for allegedly assaulting Mahant Narayan Swami of Duleshwar Temple, police said today.The incident occurred on Thursday when the mahant8217;s jeep touched the Minister8217;s car while overtaking in the Guru Shikhar area. The Minister and his staff stoppedthe mahant8217;s jeep and allegedly misbehaved with him.Following arguments between the mahant and Solanki, the Minister slapped him, the mahant said in his FIR.
