MUMBAI, NOV 18 : Noted management guru Prof Arindam Chaudhuri feels that purchasing power is the key to the economic growth. “Economic prosperity for a nation is not about economics alone. For, a nation cannot be run like a department store. No amount of management and marketing techniques can enable corporates to have a more than 10 per cent to 15 per cent growth in their market but the market can be expanded by more than 100 per cent by increasing the purchasing power of the people,” says Chaudhuri, Dean, Centre for Economic Research & Advanced Studies, IIPM).

Chaudhuri expounded on all this and much more during his workshop on “Theory `i’ Management” conducted exclusively for the top management levels in the city recently. Chaudhuri’s iconoclastic Theory `i’ Management is all about India-friendly management styles for Indian corporates.
