Two commandos hurt in mishap
Two motor-cycle borne Punjab Police commandos were seriously injured after being knocked down by a Punjab Roadways bus near the Rock Garden today.

Police sources say that the injured, Gurmukh Singh and Gurmeet Singh of No.2 Battalion were posted with the Punjab Chief Minister’s security detail. Police have arrested the bus driver, Ujagar Singh and impounded the vehicle. The injured were taken to the General Hospital, Sector 16, from where they were referred to the PGI.

Cyclist hit by bus
An unidentified cyclist was seriously injured when he was struck down by a Punjab Roadways bus near the Sector 16 cricket stadium last night. The cyclist, who suffered head injuries was admitted to the PGI in a critical condition.

Held for eve-teasing
A resident of Sector 27, Subash Chand, was arrested by the police from Sector 18 on charges of eve-teasing. A case has been registered and the matter is being pursued.
