Workers8217; programme
Ordnance Depot Workers Union, Talegaon Dabhade, organised a residential training programme in association with the help of Central Board of Workers Education, Pune, at Alandi from April 18 to 20. In all, 98 workers attended the camp which was conducted with the help of trade unionists like S J Patkule of Hindi Mazdoor Sabha and J D Suryawanshi of All India Defence Employees Federation.

Encyclopaedia exhibition
Unicate Publishers and Distributors have organised an exhibition of encyclopaedias of different subjects at its premises, second floor, Mantri Heights, Shaniwar Peth, which will remain open till April 29. Discount, ranging from 50 to 70 per cent, is available on the sale of these encyclopaedias.

Slide show on expedition
Giripremi will organise a two day programme in memory of the mountaineers who died in the Satopanth tragedy. On April 25, Vinita Muni, the Mumbai-based participant of Indian women8217;s expedition to traverse Himalaya from Assam to Karakoram, will conduct a slide show on the expedition. On April 26, nature lover Ashok Captain will conduct a slide show on nature trails of Sahyadri and Arunachal Pradesh. Mountaineers of Aarohak will present a slide show on rock climbing of Kundalika pinnacle 160 meters, the virgin successful attempt.

Both programmes will be held at Fergusson College8217;s Amphi Theatre from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the respective days.

PMT bus route demanded
Citizens from different residential areas in Pune camp have urged Pune Municipal Transport PMT to continue plying of the circular bus nos. 98 and 99 Pune Station-Kothrud-Pune Station plying via State Bank, Dr. Ambedkar Road, J J Garden, M G Road, East Street and Pool Gate. A memorandum addressed to the PMT traffic control officer has said that the bus route, which has been presently discontinued, was very convenient especially for senior citizens and students.
