Most trains to Mumbai cancelled
Rail traffic on the Pune-Mumbai section of the Central Railway was severely affected by incessant rain throughout the day. Water-logging of tracks between Karjat and Kalyan disrupted movement of trains, railway officials said.

Mumbai-bound trains 8212; Simhagadh Express, Deccan Queen, and Pragati Express leaving from Pune in the morning were cancelled. Pune-bound Indrayani Express, Shatabdi Express and Deccan Express and Mumbai-Bangalore Udyan Express trains were also cancelled. No train arrived in Pune until 6 p.m. from Mumbai. Deccan Express and the Shatabdi Express leaving Pune in the evening were also cancelled.

Simhagadh, Deccan Queen and Pragati Express returning to Pune were also cancelled. Railway officials were uncertain about when the normal schedule would be restored.
