ISI agents grilled
The two suspected Inter Services Intelligence ISI agents, arrested by the crime branch sleuths on Friday, were on Monday grilled by the officials from Military Intelligence and the Intelligence Bureau IB.
Ishrshadur Rehman 25 who posed himself as an Indian Army major posted as the aide de camp ADC to the President of India and Mohammed Yusuf Yakub Sipra 36 who claimed to be Rehman8217;s personal assistant, were questioned about their motives behind impersonating and suspected links with foreign intelligence agencies. The interrogation went on at the crime branch office for nearly seven hours.
Rehman and Sipra were arrested while they were trying to obtain a military uniform from a tailor in Pune Cantonment. A .32 calibre revolver, 10 live cartridges, four empty cartridges, three air pistols, some pairs of uniform, a large number of forged documents including identity cards, and several duplicate rubber stamps of government organisations have already been recovered from them.
They have been remanded to police custody till September 21 by a judicial magistrate first class.
