CHANDIGARH, May 26: A computerised extension counter of Punjab and Sind Bank was inaugurated at Regional Staff Training College, Sector 8, here today by B. D. Narang, executive director of the bank.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the bank had crossed a total business of Rs 11,000 crore and planned a growth of Rs 15,000 crore for the current financial year.

He added that a 20 per cent growth had been registered in deposits and the bank had made a net profit of Rs 20 crore during 1996-97. The bank was all set to cross the Rs 50-crore mark for the year 1997-98, he emphasised.
