Protest against Changai Sabha condemned

CHANDIGARH, May 26: The Christian community has reacted sharply to the attempt of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and Bajrang Dal to 8220;disturb8221; Changai Sabha, at Sector 30, yesterday.

According to Emanual Nahar, president of Indian Christian Welfare Organisation, a meeting of the association under the chairmanship of Principal S. M. Bhatti passed a resolution condemning the incident. He said that Christians never compelled anyone to embrace Christianity..It is a baseless allegation that poor people are promised admissions in schools among other things,8221; he added.

ICWA has appealed to the authorities to provide security to the community to carry on the peaceful propagation of their faith, Nahar said.
