Six injured in low-intensity blasts in Pak

At least six persons were injured in several low-intensity blasts in a market of CD shops in Pakistan's Punjab province.

At least six persons were injured on Thursday in several low-intensity blasts in a market of CD shops in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

The blasts occurred in the market in Jhand area of Attock city this morning.

A sizeable number of people were present in the market when the explosive devices went off,police said.

Six injured persons were taken to the hospital in Jhand for treatment. Two of them were later shifted to a hospital in Attock because of their critical condition,officials said.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Taliban militants have targeted shops selling music and movies across the North West Frontier Province over the past two years.

Attock district borders the Swabi area of NWFP,where the Taliban are active.
