RCB wins toss; KKR to bat first

Royal Challengers Bangalore require a victory to remain in the run for the final four.

Royal Challengers captain Daniel Vettori asked the Kolkata Knight Riders to bat first after winning the toss in the 24th match of the fourth edition of IPL.

Royal Challengers Bangalore require a victory to remain in the run for the final four as it just has 3 points from the four matches it has played. It,however,is ahead of the Delhi Daredevils who just have 2 points from same number of games.

After two consecutive wins,KKR choked in a paltry run chase against Kochi. If it (the loss) continues then thats a little bit of worry. Maybe these run chases can be approached a bit differently, Knight Riders coach Dav Whatmore said.

Chris Gayle makes his debut for Bangalore and left-arm spinner Syed Mohammad, who was not even in the initial squad, gets picked today in the playing XI directly! Kolkata have left out Lee and Bisla and in come Unadkat and Haddin.

The final teams are:

Kolkata Knight Riders: Gautam Gambhir(C),Jacques Kallis,Brad Haddin,Manoj Tiwary,Yusuf Pathan,Eoin Morgan,Shakib Al Hasan,Jaidev Unadkat,Iqbal Abdulla,Rajat Bhatia,Lakshmipathy Balaji

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Daniel Vettori(C),Chris Gayle,Tillakaratne Dilshan,Virat Kohli,AB de Villiers,Saurabh Tiwary,Cheteshwar Pujara,Asad Pathan, Zaheer Khan,Sreenath Aravind,Syed Mohammad
