Ghaziabad: Connor Williams and Rakesh Solanki performed the rescue act with a 103 run partnership,resuming on the final day on 60/3. Williams scored 96 and later Yusuf Pathan unleashed an array of unorthodox strokes in his innings of 78 an inside out six past long-off,a short arm jab of the backfoot into the sightscreen and finally a slog scoop down fine-legs throat. Instead of declaring and going for a win,Baroda continued batting. The match was declared a draw after five overs of UPs innings,with Baroda earning one point to the home sides three for their first innings lead.

Amritsar: Tamil Nadu clinched an innings and a 45-run win and a bonus point against Punjab. Overnight 114 for five,Punjab resumed needing 180 runs more to make the visitors bat again. And while their tail did wag,stretching the second innings total to 248,none of their specialist batsmen,save Pankaj Dharmani who made 56,applied themselves. R Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with five for 116,and was supported well by Aushik Srinivas 3 for 47 and SS Kumar 2 for 47.

Jadhav ton saves Maha
Rajkot: Kedar Jadhavs scored a gritty unbeaten 111 to help Maharashtra salvage a draw against Saurashtra. Resuming at 266 for seven,the last three Maharashtra batsman added just 23 runs. Following on,the visitors again came up with a poor batting show,losing half of their side for 116 and staring an innings defeat. But Jadhavs 203-ball effort got the team one point. For Saurashtra,Sandip Jobanputra picked four for 55 in the first innings.

Bhatt misses double ton
Rajkot: Rujul Bhatt 186 missed out on a double hundred but his side Gujarat walked away with three points as their match against Hyderabad ended in a draw. Gujarat,who began at a solid 263 for four,overcame three early jolts to score a huge 536 in reply to Hyderabads first innings total of 236. Bhatt and Ashraf Makda 53 raised a gritty 128-run stand for the eighth wicket to help their team consolidate the first innings lead of 300.

Karnataka get 3 points
Mysore: Karnataka,who led by 199 runs in the first innings,took three points from their drawn match against Bengal. With this,Karnataka took their tally to eleven points from three games. Coming into bat this morning,the hosts declared their first essay at the overnight score of 523 for nine,but Manoj Tiwary hit an unbeaten 65 as Bengal finished with 213 for six.

Railways-Orissa draw
