PSPB overcome spirited AP

In the end order was restored. Experience triumphed over youth as Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) beat Andhra Pradesh in a thrilling encounter to move into the finals of Inter-state Badminton Championships at Rohtak.

In the end order was restored. Experience triumphed over youth as Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) beat Andhra Pradesh in a thrilling encounter to move into the finals of Inter-state Badminton Championships at Rohtak.

The semi-finals started with an upset. B Sai Praneeth,beat world No.46 PSPB’s Aravind Bhat 21-17,24-22. P Kashyap demolished K Nandagopal 21-18,21-16 and then the doubles pair of Chetan Anand and Rupesh Kumar outclassed K Srikkanth and BT Hemagendra 21-12,21-13.

Then PSPB’s Anup Sridhar went down to K Srikkanth. But,Bhat and Arun Vishnu saw off Andhra pair of K Nandagopal and Sai Praneeth 23-21 18-21 21-19 in a tense battle to seal the tie.
