The Indian boxers had mixed luck at the draw for the World Boxing championships in Milan on Monday,with three pugilists getting a bye in the first round.
Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh,top seed in the 75kg category,will have his first bout against Azamat Belgibayev of Kazakhstan in the second round after getting a bye in the first. Fourth seed Dinesh Kumar 81kg will be up against Reznicek Vladimir of Czech Republic and Manpreet Singh 91kg will face Usyk Olexandr of Ukraine.
Despite seeded second in the 48kg,World youth champion Th Nanao Singh is to meet Elvin Mamishzade of Azerbaijan in his first bout. Also competing in the first round will be Olympic quarter-finalist Akhil Kumar in the 57kg,who will meet Navarro Gonzalez Roberto of the Dominican Republic.
In other bouts,Suranjoy Singh will face Myambayar Tugstsogt of Mongolia in in 51kg ,Jitender Kumar is up against Yunusov Anvar of Tajkistan in the 54kg,,ai Bhagwan will face Rodriguez Angel of Venezuela in the 60 kg while Manoj Kumar is to face Carvaho Myke of Brazil in the 64 kg.
