Nursing a sore back,it was double whammy for Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke,who had to be treated at hospital for a severe bout of gastroenteritis.

8220;Cricket Australia CA today advised that Michael Clarke was hospitalised overnight with gastroenteritis,8221; CA said in a statement issued today.

Clarke,who was scheduled to play for Pune Warriors,spent last night in the hospital and was released in the morning.

8220;Clarke has since been discharged from hospital and CA confirms that he is recovering at home,8221; it said.

The 32-year-old had to return home ahead of the fourth and final Test against Indian after recurrence of back spasms,which would keep him out of action for more then eight weeks.
