Games squad leaked?

Two days before Hockey India was to announce the team for the Commonwealth Games and the Asiad ,the list of 16 selected was leaked to the media on Saturday by one Amit Das,an unidentified hockey lover and well wisher who has been sending mails slamming chief coach Jose Brasa and criticising facilities at the National Stadium in the New Delhi.

The e-mail,which surfaced a few hours after selection trials for the CWG were held in Pune,includes the minutes of the meeting and has the signatures of four selectors,two government observers and coaches Brasa and Harendra. While the signatories confirmed the team mentioned in the mail was same that they had finalised,HI secretary Narinder Batra insisted no official document was leaked. We have no idea about any such mail. It is not official and I would suggest it should not be taken seriously. How can we send an official team list so soon when the trials got over only at six in the evening?

He,however,agreed that the selectors whose names have been mentioned in the mail were the ones present in Balewadi.
