Ferrari opt to delay Massas return until 2010

Ferrari has ruled out a competitive return this year for Felipe Massa. Massa,who was badly injured in a freak accident during qualifying for this year8217;s Hungarian Grand Prix in July,tested a F2007 at Fiorano on Sunday.

However,results from a medical in Paris last Friday,while 8220;positive8221;,preclude a return in 2009.

8220;This is in no way a proper test session and looking at the stopwatch will not be on the agenda,8221; The Telegraph quoted a Ferrari statement,as saying. 8220;Talk of a proper return can wait until the start of the 2010 season,8221; the statement added.
