Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson risked fresh disciplinary action from the Football Association after blasting referee Chris Foy follwing his sides shock 1-0 FA Cup loss to Leeds.

Ferguson is already under a two-game suspended sentence until the end of next season for his remarks concerning referee Alan Wileys supposed lack of fitness, made earlier this term. And the FA could well take a dim view of Fergusons complaint on Sunday night that Foy only played five minutes injury-time at the end of his teams stunning third round defeat at Old Trafford. The referee gave five minutes of injury time. That is an insult to the game and to the players out there, Ferguson insisted.

Ferguson was also angry that his team did not match the workrate or fighting spirit of third tier Leeds at Old Trafford, when United lost 1-0. You have to bounce back, get it out of your system, said Ferguson, who now comes up against new City manager Roberto Mancini at the City of Manchester Stadium on Wednesday in the first leg of the semi-final. We have a semi-final on Wednesday now and a lot of these players wont be playing. I had the team in mind but there may be changes now,I was shocked by the performance.
