Umar Gul took 4/61 and left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman claimed 3/119. Martin Guptill scored 73 and Brendon McCullum struck 64 in a 120-run opening partnership for New Zealand. Ross Taylor scored 52.

Im not sure if anything would erase whats just happened8230; paybacks going to be hard after losing the Ashes, Ponting said. Bowden reaches 150 ODI mark

dubai: New Zealander Billy Bowden joined the exclusive club of six umpires to officiate in 150 or more one-day internationals when he stood in the Australia-England match in Melbourne over the weekend. Bowden 47 made his international debut on March 29,1995,in a match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Hamilton. He has also stood in 65 Tests and 19 Twenty20 internationals so far.

Hussey to miss England ODIs

sydney: Cricket Australia has said batsman Mike Hussey has undergone surgery for a serious hamstring injury on the inner side of the knee and will be replaced by Shaun Marsh for the ongoing seven-match limited-overs series against England. Australian team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said Hussey had corrective surgery and his availability for the World Cup will depend on his rehabilitation in the coming weeks. Marsh will play the next three games against England.

Rajkot: Veteran Mithali Rajs unbeaten 109 and fine bowling by spinners Diana David,Gouhar Sultana and Priyanka Roy helped India beat West Indies by ten runs in the fourth ODI to level the five-match series 2-2. India made 216 losing only four wickets,then restricted West Indies to 206 in 49.3 overs. For West Indies,Stefanie Taylor and Shanel Daley took two wickets each. Chasing 217,Taylor made 83 in 129 balls while Juliana Nero scored 42 off 83 balls,but the rest failed to build on the start.
