The early finish to the first Test meant that the Cricket Association of Bengals grand plan of showering 199 kilograms of rose petals from the skies to mark Sachin Tendulkars penultimate Tests did not materalise. CAB joint-secretary Subir Ganguly said,We had booked the aircraft and taken permission from the air traffic control for two days Saturday and Sunday. We couldnt do anything today. Who would have thought that this match would get over in three days.

However,there were many moments from Tendulkars penultimate Test that the fans at the Eden Gardens will cherish. One of them involved his former opening partner,Sourav Ganguly. The moment that struck a chord with the fans was when Sourav Ganguly placed a turban on Tendulkars head during a felicitation function that was also attended by chief minister Mamata Banerjee and CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya.

Mumbai test tickets to be sold online

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will sell tickets online for Tendulkars 200th Test match at the Wankhede Stadium. The decision was taken on Friday at a meeting after MCA president Sharad Pawar said it was not feasible to sell tickets through counters because it could lead to a stampede. The Wankhede has a capacity of 32,000 but only 3,000 tickets will be up for sale. The tickets priced between Rs 500 to 10,000 will be available from November 11 through KyaZoonga.
