Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a TV interview today that she has "absolutely no interest" in running again for US president.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a TV interview today that she has 8220;absolutely no interest8221; in running again for US president.

Clinton sought the Democratic Party nomination for the 2008 presidential election,and lost to now-President Barack Obama after a long,hard-fought primary campaign season.

8220;I have absolutely no interest in running for president again,8221; Clinton told ABC News.

8220;No. None. I know that8217;s hard for some people to believe. But,you know,I just don8217;t.8221;

In an NBC interview broadcast Monday Clinton answered 8220;no8221; when asked if she would run for president again.

8220;I did say that,8221; Clinton reiterated to ABC.

Clinton said she feels she has had 8220;the most amazing life8221; in public service.

8220;And for the last 17 years,ever since my husband former president Bill Clinton started running for president,I have been,you know,in the spotlight,working hard.8221;

Clinton said that her current job as the top US diplomat 8220;is incredibly,all-encompassing8221; and that when it is over,she may look forward to 8220;taking some time off.8221;

Clinton said she was at first skeptical when she got a call from Obama asking her to be secretary of state just days after the November 4,2008 presidential election.

8220;He said,8217;I want you to be my secretary of state,'8221; Clinton said. 8220;I said,8217;Oh,no,you don8217;t.'8221;

Clinton told Obama that there were many other people who could do the job. 8220;We kept talking. I finally began thinking 8212; if I had won,and I called him,I would have wanted him to say yes,8221; Clinton said.
