President Chandrika Kumaratunga’s decision to dissolve Parliament and calling snap elections in April, came despite apprehensions from India, US, Japan, and the EU, the Sunday Times reported. Sri Lanka’s caretaker government on Sunday vowed to ‘‘teach her a good lesson’’. —(PTI)
