President okays three bills

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 29: The President has given his assent to three bills 8211; the Indian Majority Amendment, Administrators-General Amendment and Code and Civil Procedure Amendment 8211; which were passed in the just concluded winter session of parliament.

The Indian Majority Amendment Act seeks to amend section 3 of the act prescribing a uniform age of majority of 18 years for all minors.

The Administrators-General Amendment Act seeks to enhance the monetary limit under section 29 of the act from Rs 50,000 to Rs 200,000 on account of erosion in the value of money and also escalation of value of assets.
