Policemen granted bail

CHENNAI, JUNE 30: Sub Inspector JCM Jafi and head constable Mariappan, who were arrested for assaulting advocate R Rajan, were granted bail by the XV Metropolitan Magistrate of George Town, Chennai, on Tuesday.

Their counsel had argued that the IPC is common for every one and two different methods cannot be adopted, one for the police and the other for advocates.
