Two unidentified bodies recovered
A man8217;s body 8212; about 70 years of age, 58242; 58221;, sallow complexioned, thin-built, clad in white kurta-pyjama 8212; has been found lying on a railway track near old Azadpur. A woman8217;s body has been recovered near the boundary wall of Central hospital in Paharganj. It was clad in a cream coloured petticoat and white blouse. Thin and round-faced, the victim was around five feet tall.

UP criminal picked up
The Dabri police have arrested a 28-year-old man wanted by the UP police in several cases of dacoity, theft and robbery-cum-attempt to murder. Ismail Saleem was arrested after the police found a knife on him during a checking at the Palam bus-stand on Friday. According to the police, Saleem later confessed to being a proclaimed offender in three cases. He reportedly looted Rs 35,000 and jewellery in one case and stole Rs 3.5 lakh from a businessman in Aligarh in another case. The police say that Saleem, along with his two associates, also escaped with a Maruti after stabbing the driver.

Video cassettes seized
The Kotwali police have seized 5,000 pirated video cassettes of Hindi movies from the pavement market opposite Jubilee Cinema on H.C. Sen Road. They have arrested one Saleem Khan and booked him under the Copyrights Act.

Man held for stabbing
Raju, a resident of Chandra Vihar, has been arrested for his involvement in a stabbing case. A knife has been recovered from him.

10,000 litres of adulterated diesel seized
Ten thousand litres of adulterated diesel has been recovered from a truck in Punjabi Bagh. When the truck was flagged down at the T-point on New Rohtak Road, its driver cruised to a stop and took to his heels. The police suspect that the adulteration was being done in a godown at Manohar Park owned by one Joginder Chaudhry. The godown has been sealed.

Shop looted
Kumar Electronics in Bharatnagar market near New friends Colony was looted around 4 a.m. on Sunday. There were witnesses who saw a tempo being loaded with electronics goods, but thought that it was the tent house located next door that was unloading their goods. Nobody noted the number of the tempo. The shop is situated on the main road and is guarded by two chowkidaars. The lock was found broken at 7.30 in the morning. According to the owner of the shop, Satendra Kumar, four colour TVs, 10 black and white TVs, a VCR, a VCP and two music systems are missing. 8220;The entire shop was wiped clean except for a TV which had come for repair the previous day,8221; he said.

4 arrested for robbery
Shankar, Avdhesh, Mohd Indraz and Vinod have been arrested on charge of robbing Jagdeep and Bikram of their wallets and wrist-watches after the two got off a bus on the outer Ring Road near Burari Chowk on Friday. Shankar was nabbed by the two when he was trying to flee. The others were tracked down by the police. The accused are residents of Lal Bagh, Model Town. The loot has been recovered from them.

Robbery foiled, four arrested
Purnavashi, Dhanpat and Mahender 8212; residents of Paschim Vihar 8212; have been arrested on charge of attempting to rob Rajesh near Peeragarhi Chowk recently. He had raised an alarm and the PCR van had apprehended Purnavashi. His associates had managed to escape. Dhanpat has been named in three unsolved cases of crime.
