Man escapes from custody
The main suspect in the Hastinapur massacre, Kirori Gurjar, escaped from police custody on Friday. He was being taken to the Muzaffer Nagar Jail from Delhi by Shalimar Express. He jumped off the train near Khatauli station with handcuffs on. Head Constable Pratap Singh and Constable Jamil Ahmed of the Meerut police were accompanying him at the time.Mahag Singh Gurjar, alias Kirori, is the main suspect in the Hastinapur clash which left 12 people dead last year.

Shop looted, Rs 2 lakh taken
Four unidentified persons looted Rs 2 lakh from a shop in Maliwada which comes under the Sinhani Gate Police Station in Ghaziabad on Friday evening. Four armed men went to the agency of a gutkha manufacturing company in Maliwada. They bound the servant and the accountant of the shop to chairs and fled with the money in the cash box.
