PM leads all-party team to Pahalgam

August 3: An all party delegation led by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today left for Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir to get a first hand account of the massacre of Amarnath pilgrims on August one.

The delegation comprises Defence Minister George Fernandes, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee and Congress President Sonia Gandhi besides Gulam Nabi Azad (Cong), Mulayam Singh (SP), Somnath Chaterjee (CPI-M), K Yerran Naidu (TDP), Anant Geete (Shiv Sena) and Kanshiram (BSP).

They were scheduled to return on Thursday.
