Plans to ensure voting

For the second phase of voting on Friday, the sector officers have been told to give special attention to verify whether voters from the vulnerable segments were turning up to cast their ballot or not. They will inform the Returning Officers about any conspicuous absence of some section of voters at any of the booths. Following this, the ROs and district election officers would immediately dispatch dedicated squads to the areas concerned. The squads would ensure that there is no hindrance, direct or indirect, in the movement of that section of the voters. Additional Chief Election Officer Devesh Chaturvedi said: 8220;The Returning Officers have already finalised vulnerability mapping of the constituencies.8221;
