PGI nurses plan stir from May 11

CHANDIGARH, May 8: The PGI nurses today decided to launch an agitation from May 11 in support of the demands of the Delhi Nurses8217; Union.

According to Vinod Jolly, general secretary of the PGI Nurses8217; Welfare Association, their demands include revised pay-scales, time-bound promotion, non-practising allowance and increase of other allowances like uniform allowance. They also demanded filling up of vacant posts of chief nursing officer and nursing superintendent. A dharna will be held daily from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Jolly said.
