PFA organises pet-care camp

CHANDIGARH, July 26: Free anti-rabies vaccination, other subsidised injections, veterinary consultation, dog chains, leashes, dog biscuits, books on pet keeping, designer shirts were among the various things available at the Pet Care Camp which was organsied by People For Animals at Free Mason Hall, Sector 18.

The two-day camp which started yesterday offered free anti-rabies vaccine along with other subsidised vaccines. 8220;Emphasis is being laid on pet sterilisation and pet owners are being urged to keep limited but healthy and happy pets,8221; said Payal Sodhi, in-charge of the camp. Designer shirts from Ritu Beri8217;s collection with PFA messages are also available for prices between Rs 120 and 270. Mugs, also designed by Ritu Beri are available, at a price of Rs 90.

Besides chains, leashes, shampoos, soaps, tonics, biscuits, dog-toys and chewers, note-pads with Mario Miranda8217;s cartoons are also available. Books on pet care, first aid, including Maneka Gandhi8217;s 8220;Heads and Tails8221; are also available.
