PATIALA, JUNE 14: The revenue patwaris today organised a protest dharna here in the Tehsil complex regarding their long-pending demands and reiterated that the agitation will continue until their demands are not accepted by the state government.

It may be mentioned here that the revenue patwaris were on agitation from June 1 on the call given by the Revenue Patwar Union, Punjab.

Paramjit Jindal, general secretary of the union, in a statement here today claimed that the working in the tehsil and other offices related with the revenue record work has came to a stand still in the state. He said that even the kanugoos had come forward to join hands with them from today.

All the speakers who addressed the rally, including Satnam Singh, president of the union, Amrik Singh, district president of the union, Gurcharan Singh Ramgarh and Raj Kumar, condemned the state government for adopting an indifferent attitude towards the demands of the revenue patwaris.
