Chemical and Fertilisers Minister and LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan today launched an attack on his bete noire Laloo Prasad Yadav on a new front — the women’s reservation issue.
Speaking at a convention of the LJP women’s wing at the Constitution Club, Paswan, without naming Laloo, said some people had created obstacles in the way of efforts to provide 33 per cent reservation to women in Parliament and state legislatures.
‘‘They added ifs and buts to the proposed legislation as their intentions are not clear. They should have let the Bill be tabled at least and they could move amendments to provide for reservations (quota within quota) for women belonging to weaker sections and minorities thereafter. ’’ he added.
