CHANDGIARH, Aug 28: Parminder Singh of Chandigarh Police led the field in the air pistol ISU event with an aggregate score 566 out of 600 on the second day of the 23rd Chandigarh state shooting championship held at Patiali Rao Ranges today.

Parminder Singh also shot 253/300 in the .22 rifle prone NR event.

In the air rifle ISU event, Jaswinder Singh of Railways was far ahead of other competitors in fray. He had an aggregate score of 547/600 at the end of the day.

Panchkula badminton
One-sided matches were the order of the day on the opening day of the Panchkula District Badminton championship, being played at Panchkula8217;s Sector 7 Community Centre. Varun, Vikrant and Vinay moved up after recording wins in the boy8217;s u-19 singles first round matches.
