The team had just returned to their hotel from a practice session at the Feroze Shah Kotla stadium when news of the imposition of emegency broke out late in the evening.

Most of the players watched the television in their rooms to know about the developments back home.

The team is scheduled to leave for Guwahati tomorrow for the first one-dayer.
