ISLAMABAD, AUG 14: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said he was renewing his offer of peace talks with India despite the shooting down of a Pakistani military aircraft by Indian fighter jets on Tuesday but warned that 8220;everything has a limit.8221;

In a speech on the occasion of the Independence Day in Islamabad, Sharif said India must not look at Pakistan8217;s desire for peace as a sign of 8220;weakness8221; or test its patience. Sharif said the downing of the Pakistani naval patrol plane showed that India was not serious about peace.

8220;The world should realise after this incident who aspires for peace and who wants to destroy peace,8221; Sharif said. 8220;We are still behaving responsibly,8221; he said but called the downing of the aircraft a 8220;cowardly act.8221; Sharif renewed an offer to hold talks with India to solve the territorial conflict in Kashmir. 8220;The dream of peace on the subcontinent cannot be attained so long as oppression against innocent Kashmiris is perpetrated,8221; he said.
