Outright win for Umrigar boys

Polly Umrigar XI registered an outright win in the silver jubilee Shatkar Trophy being held at the MCA8217;s Kandivali stadium for under-16 cricketers. John Abraham and Akshay Sawant bagged four wickets each and reduced Gavaskar XI to 139 all out. Gavaskar XI got 24 penalty runs but were still unable to achieve the winning target of 193. Akshay Palkar, who scored half centuries in each innings, was named the man of the match.

The match between Khandu Rangnekar 11 and Eknath Solkar XI was a draw. Solkar XI scored 245 for 9 at the end of third day. Pratik Prabhu missed his century by just one run.
