I have great personal relationships with all the guests. They have all come for my sake, and there is no ego between friends. As I see it, only non-achievers have egos, these guys have already achieved everything.

I dress simply. I think it8217;s very stupid when hosts overdress and want to hog all the attention.

8226; Did Shah Rukh Khan offer any advice, given his television background?
He just told me to go there, have fun and not to make a fool of myself.

8226; Did you design SRK8217;s costumes for Swades?
No, I only design his costumes for my movies, Yashji8217;s movies or Shah Rukh8217;s productions. I can8217;t become his personal designer for all his films.

8226; When will we see the next Karan Johar film?
I am in the middle of scripting it and will start shooting some time next year. And beyond this, I am not giving you any details.

No, but I could see it coming. Everyone just wants to know who I am casting and the name of the film. Nothing has been decided yet.

8226; Why do you write your scripts in London?
I like to get away from the madness and mobile phones when I am writing. I am familiar with London, I have friends there and I like the vibe of the place. I feel that I have some past life connection with it. I behave like a 60-year-old in the city. I sit in the parks, walk a lot, wake up and sleep on time. All those things that I should do in Mumbai but lack discipline for, I make up for in London.

8226; Do you follow any superstitions while writing?
Not while writing. I keep all my superstitions for shooting. I like to begin on a particular day.

8226; Besides movies and dressing Shah Rukh, what turns you on?
Everything about films: Reading, watching or talking about them turns me on. I8217;m quite boring. I have no life besides movies. Even if there8217;s a discussion on cricket or politics, I try to bring it back to films. But I am trying to make myself more interesting. I8217;ve started reading again, something I had given up 10 years ago.

8226; What are you reading these days?
I just finished Dan Brown8217;s The Da Vinci Code and loved it.

8226; We heard that you8217;ve given up chocolates.
I avoid them. Eating is my passion; I8217;m one of those unlucky people who put on weight just from looking at food. I have a massive sweet tooth; I8217;m inherently a fat boy. Even in my mind, I am overweight. The weighing scale is my biggest enemy.
