One killed, two hurt

CHANDIGARH, Jan 1: An unidentified pedestrian, who was hit by a car yesterday, succumbed to his injuries at the PGI today. The deceased is believed to in his mid-twenties. The accident occurred near the Sector 28 petrol pump around 12.30 last night. The police have registered a case of causing death by rash driving against the car driver who fled from the spot.

An S.A.S. Nagar resident was admitted to the PGI today after his scooter skid on the road separating Sectors 45 and 46. In another incident, an S.A.S. Nagar resident Prithpal Singh was hurt when his scooter skidded near colony number 5. He was admitted to the PGI. In the third case, a Sector 43 resident Subhash Gandhi fell off the roof of his residence and was hospitalised.
