One hundred thirty five PU students get medals

CHANDIGARH, April 4: At a function held here today silver medals and merit certificates were awarded to 135 students, who had topped the academic examinations held for 1998-99 session, at the Annual Academic Function of the Panjab University campus.

The prizes were given away to 87 girls and 48 boys for excellence in academics, by Prof. I. B. S. Passi, Dean University Instructions DUI, who was also the chief guest on the occasion. Dr Manjit Singh, presented the annual report of the academic and cultural activities organised on the PU campus.
