
Chief Minister Narendra Modi is to take to blogging on his revamped personal website narendramodi.in, where he will share his views with others. After having reported a conversation at the Tarnetar Mela wherein Modi was reportedly referred to as 8220;a god with beard,8221; the Gujarat Information Department briefed the changes in Modi8217;s personal wesbite on the occasion of his 59th birthday.
Relaunched today, the website is now an interactive portal aimed at creating a platform for building a golden Gujarat.
The new-look website is loaded with Modi8217;s ring-tones, wallpapers and screen savers and a special section exhorting everyone to participate in Gujarat8217;s golden jubilee function in 2010.
There is also a section which has him answering queries for children and others in both text and video format. Besides, there is also a section dedicated to the common man 8212; 8220;I am available8221; 8212; which provides an option to interact with the CM. Visitors can ask questions to Modi through this section. Visitors can also have access to Modi8217;s speeches, photographs, his publications and his take on good governance on the website.
Compensation for Vadodara resident killed in Delhi blast
The state government has announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh for the family of Kamini Nisarata, a Vadodara resident who died in the serial bomb blasts in New Delhi. A press release issued by Health Minister Jaynarayan Vyas and Industries Minister Saurabh Patel also said that compensation will also be given to Kashyup Ravat who got injured in the bomb blast.
