MUMBAI, DEC 24: Pankaj Ojha slammed a superb 194 to steer Rizvi Springfield High School8217;s into the quarter-finals of the MSSA Harris Shield u-16 Inter-School Cricket Tournament.

In the pre-quarters at the Cross Maidan today, Springfield rode on Ojha8217;s knock to trounce Anjuman Islam, Fort by 210 runs.

The 13-year-old Ojha cracked 20 boundaries during his marathon knock. He was also involved in a 100-run stand for the eight wicket with all-rounder Ashish Gupta as Springfield went on to pile a massive score of 361. The duo8217;s association retrieved the situation after they were reeling at 7-191 at one stage.

Gupta returned to inflict telling blows to derail Anjuman8217;s run-charge. The young medium-pacer scalped four wickets for 27 runs.

Shaikh Rashid 57 and A Wahid 30 were the only batsmen to offer some resistance.

Khanvilkar to lead

Omkar Khanvilkar will lead the Mumbai u-16 cricket team for their Merchant Trophy knockout campaign that commences at Patiala from Jan 1.
