CHANDIGARH, Oct 1: Military nursing officers today pledged to "re-dedicate" themselves to the cause of sick and ailing during the 73rd Military Nursing Service Corps Day celebrations at Chandimandir Cantonment near here.Highlighting the responsibilities of nurses during a function organised on the occasion, it was stated that their role had undergone a considerable change with the change in the health care scenario, equiring them to acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge and practical skills.Regarding the nursing service, it was stated that MNS gave ample opportunities for professional advancement in specialised fields. The Army had nurses holding M. Phil and Ph.d degrees, it was added.
