Not on the budget

Rail Bhavan is now having second thoughts over going ahead with its ambitious plan of constructing 100 budget hotels in the country as this has set tongues wagging in the Railways Ministry. Insiders say Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav gave a dressing down to some of his most trusted top officials, who allegedly 8220;moved too fast8221;. And so furious was he that he even sent Railways8217; Vigilance officials to some of the residences of some in a bid to send a stern message. There8217;s also the fact of Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation Managing Director PK Goel being sent on long leave recently; it was IRCTC that was executing the budget hotels project.
