No backtracking, packed trains head for Mumbai

Though security was stepped up at the railway stations in the Capital, passengers travelling to Mumbai continued with their scheduled programs, undeterred by the terror attacks.

8220;There was no spurt in cancellations but we did tighten security measures in the railway stations,8221; said Rajeev Saxena, Chief Public Relations Officer, Northern Railways. The railways authorities have deployed 20 dog squads in various stations on round-the-clock duty.

8220;I have to go home regardless of what8217;s happening there,8221; said Vikas Chowdhary, a resident of Mumbai who was on a

business trip to the Capital.

All three trains leaving for Mumbai including Agast Kranti Express, Paschim Express and Rajdhani were full capacity. 8220;We actually had a few people in the waiting lists who could not take the train,8221; Station Superintendent Manager V D Meena.
