PATIALA, AUG 17: Nine nomination papers were filed for the Patiala Lok Sabha seat today. Prominent among those who filed nominations papers were Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra, general secretary, All India Shiromani Akali Dal AISAD, Parneet Kaur Congress and Surjit Singh Dhaliwal of Rakhra Shiromani Akali Dal. Raninder Singh and Charanjit Singh Dhaliwal of Rakhra filed nomination papers as covering candidates for the Congress and SAD candidates, respectively.
Ranjit Singh, Surjit Kaur, Varinder Singh and Ram Singh have filed their nomination papers as independent candidates.
