New industries number 800

VADODARA, May 5: Around 800 new small scale industrial units have come up in the district in the previous financial year, a District Industries Centre press release said here on Wednesday.

The press note said that more than Rs 4,210 lakh had been invested in the new industries which had generated employment for over 4,000 workers.

While more than 211 of the new units were in repairing and services, others included 69 of spare-parts and accessories, 67 of hosiery and readymade garments, 52 rubber and plastic processing units, and 33 chemical units.
