Nepal today said it had taken control of an Austria-registered aircraft which entered its sky without permission on its way from Assam to New Delhi. Nepalese Civil Aviation Authority (CAAN) officials said the plane, carrying four passengers and an equal number of crew, was asked to land at the Tribhuvan international airport here after it entered Nepalese sky in an ‘‘unauthorised’’ manner. The aircraft registered in Austria entered Nepalese airspace at around 3 pm enroute from Lilabari in Assam to Delhi, officials said. According to reports, the aircraft entered Nepal via Tumlingtar. It could not be ascertained what made the aircraft enter Nepalese airspace. It landed at the airport here at 3.07 pm. The government has formed an 11-member committee led by director, CAAN, to probe the incident. —PTI
